Obsidian and Digital Gardens: My Usage, in Brief
I was talking about it on stream last night and I realized that visual might help, so I made this impromptu video. It's pretty neat, this app, I'd definitely recommend it if you'd like to be able to return to concepts and ideas and work towards developing them into cool developments, whether they be for work or play.
I've only been using this app for a month and a half and already it's been really helpful with developing mindfulness and creativity towards things I consume. I don't really follow a good "form of using a personal knowledge database" like a Zettelkasten or whatever. I don't want to box mywself in, that's the whole reason I'm using this app in the first place. I also don't relly use it for journaling, this is more explicitly for work and productivity, the remainder of personal reflection goes in a written note. My digital garden isn't live for public viewing yet (so can you really call it a digital garden?), if only because I don't want to pay 14 bucks a month for Obsidian Publish, and I'm too occupied with other things to figure out another way of doing things. But that said, I think it would be cool to have one up eventually.
