Octopath Traveler is Square's first RPG on the Switch and I had to dive in as soon as it came out. The visuals are stunning (dubbed "HD-2D" by the developers) combing 16 bit style sprites with high res textures and environments and a unique tilt-shift look. Combat is turn-based and enjoyable with time to think, and, later in the game, several different ways to synergize abilities between characters.
