Imagine all of the complications of being a first responder but with the added danger of being over a mile underground. Welcome to the world of Ontario Mine Rescue, a tight-knit team on a mission to eliminate critical mining accidents. Mine rescue volunteers can practice emergency simulations on Oculus Rift S that are difficult and dangerous to recreate in the physical mine. By honing their emergency response skills in a safe but realistic environment, rescuers are better equipped to make the right calls quickly when faced with the same scenario.
