Keep unplugging the controller, for consistency, and you should be able to access the pause menu during the cutscene after you press a button other than A or B first, I guess. You can't load any files if you try. Quicksaving during the cutscene gives you a file that puts Stranger past the cutscene trigger, but you won't be able to see anything until you reactivate the cutscene. This allows you to continue on in the first boat-traveling area, which, if I heard right, gets you to an area where there are more enemies to fight if you can find them. Perhaps if you killed yourself with the black screen activated, then the game would reload the black file with a fixed screen. Also, if you keep pressing the D-pad, then you should be able to have the ammo-select screen up as the cutscene's music still plays. The last clip can simply be done by jump into the cutters after you've killed Looten Duke, but you can't have invincibility activated if you want the trick to work; I think if you wait a little bit, the black screen will go away, but if you quicksave right before Stranger's victory cutscene is played, then you'll just keep dying over and over again. I'm not sure if anything different would happen on the other versions of this game.
