Odoo 14 Lock Quantities to Consume in Manufacturing
4Odoo 14 brings up a new feature in the Manufacturing module to lock quantities to consume in manufacturing orders after the order is confirmed. This feature prevents users to modify quantities to consume unless the manager has unlocked the document. When this feature is enabled it is only applicable to newly created manufacturing orders, not old ones.
To lock quantities to consume in a manufacturing order go to manufacturing-- Configuration-- Settings-- Enable ‘Lock Quantities To Consume’ and save the settings.
Now create a new manufacturing order and confirm it. After confirmation, you will not be able to edit the field ‘To Consume’ because it's locked. The field can be unlocked by the manager by clicking on the ‘Unlock’ button. So this makes confirmed manufacturing orders locked rather than unlocked by default.
