Odoo 14 Smart Date Input
5Odoo 14 brings up with a new feature in the date field ie. Smart date input. This feature provides short cuts for users while setting dates in a form.
Suppose a user needs to set a date which is 5 years or 3 weeks ago which becomes an easy task using the short cuts provided.
The rule is [+-]\d+[dwmy]?
So we can enter inputs like:
+3 (3 days after today’s date)
-2w (2 days before from today’s date)
+2w (2 days after today’s date)
+1y (1 year after today’s date)
-1y (1 year before today’s date)
+6m (6 months after today’s date)
-4d (4 days before today’s date)
So it is so easy that users just have to give a shortcode in the field as shown before and press enter which automatically shows the date corresponding to the input given.
