1So what do I do for a living? I'm a desktop and mobility administrator and my latest project is designing, building and implementing a windows 10 imaging solution and image.
This video shows a Lenovo X1 Yoga getting windows 10 deployed and in a method that microsoft does not explain or show. Using a custom boot.wim and tons of custom scripts and vmware created hardware agnostic image I am able to create a windows 10 thick image like we could in the Win7 days. Microsoft's latest approach to imaging in the Win8/Win8.1/Win10 era is to use task sequences and mdt and sccm. you know what? i hate sccm and we don't even use that to deploy apps.
I'm re-inventing my old method that works great. Thick images w/a single user profile setup w/all customized settings and using of copyprofile flag within my deployment unattend.xml. ;)
I plan to write a full guide shortly since I have seen ZERO guides on making win10 images like win7 days with customized profiles.
