What great things can be said about this game? Ogre Battle is the first game in a well-known series of strategy RPGs developed by Quest. With long, engaging battles and multiple endings to strive for (affected by your characters' alignment), this game is the kind that can suck up all of your time. The gameplay is slightly different from the usual strategy RPG though, as you control unit movement but have limited control over battles.

In addition to the game's excellent presentation, the soundtrack features the familiar combo of Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata, as well as Ogre series regular Hayato Matsuo. The game was also released on the Saturn with voice-overs, and a slightly different "Limited Edition" was released for the PlayStation.

It's moderately rare to find for the SNES, but well worth the price. Plus, hey, the game's named after a Queen song. How awesome is that?

Tracks:
[0:01] Coma / A Brief Respite (Iwata)
[0:30] Viking Spirits (Iwata)
[1:45] Do or Die (Iwata)
[2:44] Inpregnable Defense / Wall of Defense (Iwata)
[3:59] Autumnal Sky / Autumn Sky-Womanheart (Iwata)
[5:14] Krypton / Sand Storm (Matsuo)
[6:41] Schlieren / Shimmering Heat (?)
[7:10] White Storm / Santa's Coming (Sakimoto)

{Most songs in this series have two different names. The first is from the soundtrack and later releases, the second is from Ogre Battle's sound test}
