Note that easy mode only has 5 stages, not 6 like Normal and Expert mode.
Ojamajo Doremi is an ancient series known for a really popular anime that aired around the turn of the millenium. This game is an STG doujin game from 2002 based on the series' girls. I haven't even watched the anime or other media from the series before, I only know about this game because my older sister introduced it to me back then. It's probably the first STG I played, ever.
Each girl has a different shottype. Momoko has a forward focus, somewhat-piercing shot.
Additionally, her special ability is that grazing charges a gauge in the top left. When it's full, you temporarily gain a second or so of invulnerability. Note that the bullets in this game can be continuously grazed.
The fairy following you can be thrown in the direction you're moving by pressing the "Charge" keybind, and slowly recalled back to you by holding the same key. The fairy can pick up the music note items (for score and power) for you.
The fairy can also do two special attacks when the bottom left gauge fills up with time:
1. Crystal: The fairy gets a bubble around it that cancels bullets
2. Disguise: The fairy turns into a clone of you and fires its own shots
The controls for the fairy are sort of awkward and I don't know how to use them to their full potential yet.
Normal and Expert are actually pretty challenging since there are no bombs and you don't get much HP in the game. Most of the shots start with 2 HP and gain one after every stage. I'll try to do full stage runs for Normal, but Expert might require split-stage clears.
Idk where to download the game since it's so ancient, look around and you'll probably find it.
