The Olympic Esports Series (OES) is a global virtual and simulated sports competition created by the International Olympic Committee in collaboration with International Federations and game publishers. This year, Chess.com was selected by FIDE and the International Olympic Committee to bring chess to the competition.

In the OES Preliminaries, 14 qualified players from the Trials join two invited players to compete in an "Elimination Swiss." Players who win three matches will advance to the OES Finals which take place June 22-25, 2023, in Singapore!
