0We've finished up at Monstro Town for now,so it's time to leave. The Sky Troopas have helped us to reach a new area,called Bean Valley. Quite a few familiar enemies here: Stingers,Octovaders,and Fink Flowers. Geckits and Chewy's also appear a bit later. After a small maze of Warp Pipes,we find ourselves in an area with 5 Pipes infested with Piranha Plants. The flying Shy Guy will water them and make them grow so you can clear 'em out. A couple of these just lead to Roulette Chests,where you can get 1 of several items or fight a Box Boy. One of these Pipes,I think the North one with gold Chomp Chomp enemies,has a secret platform in it. It leads back to the World Map,where you can now access Grate Guy's Casino. We can't get in there currently,but at least it's easy to get back to now. Anyway,another Boss waiting for us up ahead,called Megasmilax. As you defeat the plant buds,the Shy Guy will water it and make more appear,until the big one shows up. I suggest bringing Peach to this fight with protection against Mushroom status,as it has an AoE attack called Petal Blast that inflicts it. It can also use S'Crow Dust to inflict Scarecrow status.
