If you are a regular traveller, have poor or no Wifi this is my solution for watching On demand TV from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, iPlayer and All 4. This method requires no internet connection. Not even a wifi connection. Just a simpleport cable compatible android phone and an HDMI enabled TV. Miracast is required for All 4 either via a Miracast stick, suitable Android box or Smart TV with miracast.

Lg g3 cost £72. bluetooth mouse/ keyboard £6. Slimport cable £6 all from Ebay.

I couldn’t find a cheaper more portable option that supported as many services with download option in the UK.
Adding a mini Bluetooth mousepad/keyboard makes for a more relaxing experience.
Use any free wifi i.e supermarket cafe bus/train or your mobile data (charges may apply) to download the programs.
Samsung and some other phones use mil cdmi cables which require power and may not be as compatible.

Many Android TV devices are rooted and so TV providers block them.
Roku, Apple TV and Amazon TV boxes/sticks don’t offer as many download services.
