556The word "unschooling" might bring confusion and some criticisms and questions about what's best for children.
There are exactly the questions we should be exploring.
I know this video is of August skiing solo, but our kids are well-socialized and have opportunities to play and make friends with other kids.
Most parents are doing the best they can and this is not a personal dig, nor do I negatively judge teachers or parents who send their kids to school.
Homeschooling in this way is a family value we share and there is a ton of nuance and layers. Is unschooling perfect? No. There are challenges and negatives to deal with within schools and without.
I hope you'll stay open-minded and ask questions rooted in good faith and curiosity. I'm not interested in the energetics of a debate but would like to continue to share more about our family's unschooling journey.
