0Onee Chanbara ORIGIN is the latest entry in the OneeChanbara franchise, developed by Tamsoft and published by D3 Publisher. The game was originally released in Japan for the PlayStation 4 on December 5, 2019 and later in other Asian territories on September 24, 2020 and in North America and Europe on October 14, 2020.
Players guide their characters through the stages, completing tasks while fighting through enemies. The player-character's weapon becomes progressively covered in blood, causing their attacks to be slower and to inflict less damage. To prevent this, players must actively clean off their sword to keep the blood meter from filling up.
