Onward's Magnificent Multiplayer!
About the “see-through” weapon part: I don’t know how to accurately simulate focusing on a single dot with two eyes through two pieces of footage. For reasons I don’t know, various VR games record differently. Some games record both of the headset’s “monitors” and others only one. Onward only records one display. So I recorded both displays separately (right and left), layered them, and tried to simulate what it’s like if you were to be focused on a single point (like the one I use in the video). Obviously, in real life, you’d only see one dot. That’s the whole point. And when I sat down to edit the video, I thought I probably could’ve written that better, but I wasn’t sure how to explain it without getting too long-winded, like I am now. So, as I said, that demonstration wasn’t completely accurate. But being able to see “through” your weapon IS something you can do in the game (you can obviously do it in real life, too) and I believe the clip I made got my point across. I hope you agree!
P.S. For those curious, Oculus’ mirror only mirrored the eye I had selected in Onward, so I wasn’t able to record both eyes with that either.

Onward is a phenomenal VR military-simulator by Downpour Interactive that I love with all my heart. Recent updates have changed the game enough that it made me want to make another video.
