OOTP 22 Ep 50: Dodgers Challenge: Cristian Pache Can't be Stopped through May 2023
2Pache has an awesome first two months of the season and helps pace the Dodgers 30-19 through May 2023.
It looks as though we have an equal opponent in the San Diego Padres. Despite our blazing hot start we are still 1.5 games back in the division race.
In this play-through series we have traded all players on the Dodgers’ active roster prior to the start of the 2021 season. Every. Single. One.
We’re only allowed to acquire players with fewer than 81 games played in the Major Leagues.
Why are we doing this? Well, first, don’t we all have a little Dodgers fatigue at this point?
It’s been the same for the last decade — construct great roster, suffer through shaky playoff performances, lose, rinse and repeat, excluding last year’s Covid Championship. Let’s see if we can do better. And if we fail, we ruin the Dodgers. It’s a win-win.
It’ll also be great to see how the dispersion of the high-end talent from our active roster will impact the Major League landscape for years to come…
