To wrap up Walt Disney Home Video's most ambitious year for the Classics lineup, The Jungle Book received it's second Classics Release and appeared on video in October of 1997. It would sell quite well in the extremely limited amount of time it was available, selling over 13 million cassettes in three months before following Bambi, Hunchback, Oliver and Sleeping Beauty into the Vault in early 1998.
