It was the last of the original Disney Films to be released onto Home Video. But finally, in the late summer of 1997, Oliver and Company arrived on video as part of the Walt Disney Classics collection. As it wasn't held in the high regard of it's more successful contemporaries, the film sold fairly well at roughly eight million copies, but far below the standards set by the likes of The Little Mermaid and other Renaissance films.
