Orbsmart R82 or Zidoo Z9X Optimized Media Player Settings for Movies
2Hallo everyone, these are my optimized picture and audio settings for the Orbsmart R82 / Zidoo Z9X Media Player. All settings were extensively adjusted and tested with a variety of sources. Besides several movies, the Spears & Munsil UHD disc proved very helpful.
My recommendation is to connect the Orbsmart to an AVR first and then the AVR to a TV.
A "Custom EDID" is important too.
I also had to lock the display resolution on my Orbsmart to Auto, otherwise my device would sometimes get stuck at 1080p.
The Auto frame rate under Playback "Match Frame rate only" means that the media player takes care of the upscaling, but the frame rate remains original.
If you select “Match Frame rate and Resolution”, the TV will do the upscaling.
The correct choice of the Auto rame rate depends on the graphics processor of the TV, which is compared to that of the media player.
