Last year, Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 smartphone in India under Google’s Android One program. Shipped with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, the company promised Android 8.0 Oreo update by the end of the year. True to its words, Xiaomi released the stable version of Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Mi A1 smartphone on December 31.

However, soon after the release, a lot of users started complaining about performance-related issues. Some of these issues included unresponsive camera and dialer app, battery drain when Bluetooth turned on, unresponsive ambient light sensor and recent app button to name a few. Taking user feedback seriously, Xiaomi acknowledged the issue, and has temporarily halted the rollout.

Xiaomi has also posted a workaround for some issues. The MyJio app has been causing a significant delay in making a call, as per Mi Community admin. As a temporary fix, the company has asked users to uninstall.
