Outlast is an indie, action, adventure, horror game developed by Red Barrels and was released in 2013. In the game you play as Miles Upshur, an investigative reporter who has received a tip about some exceptionally dodgy dealings up in the Mount Massive asylum! The Whistleblower DLC released in May 2014 follows the story of Waylon Park, the man who sent the e-mail resulting in Miles' visit to the asylum.
