5v5 has been the most controversial addition to overwatch in its history. The removal/merger of effectively a role (off-tank and main tank becoming tank) disillusioned many (which was especially aggravated by the failure of the delivery of pve gamemodes). Going to 5v5 has been really rough for many of the off-tanks especially Roadhog, Dva and Zarya that struggle to exist in the frontline and/or peel effectively. Also, some of the main tanks feel like they are missing something without their companion off-tank. Reinhardt, a beloved OG tank, feels really bad in OW2 with more hyper fast DPS heroes and missing an off-tank to cover angles you can't shield. This has led many to wish for the good old days (that I do appreciate, weren't always good). To this effect, I play the new QP mode (that also has a competitive variant), 6v6 open queue with no more than 2 tanks. This mode is the closest to what really old OW1 was, however, does feel more fresh with the new heroes, maps and perks added in OW2.
