Overwatch Competitive 3.0 Update - It was a weighted system all along...
4I love a good ol'fashion I told you so. But one of the biggest reveals from the developer panel at Blizzcon is that that in 2024 they plan on making rank more transparent, by displaying modifiers and per game changes. These modifiers are also otherwise known as a weighted system and I guarentee you they already exist in the game. It's never been purely about W/L and that was easy to figure out early on when people rank up off of loss streaks and downrank off of win streaks. They just had to figure out a way to show it to people.
Oh jeeze... That's nothing really all that new and doesn't really effect the overall matchmaker system in the future. Lots we covered here in the video, but probably one of the biggest reveals.
