"We need a healer" or "We need a tank" is a common saying in Overwatch but "We need a flanker" is also important. Maybe more important. Flankers help thin the group attack and defence of the other team. Flankers help spread the team out so the main bulk is weaker and flankers are great for taking out Snipers to protect all your squishy teammates and more.
