0I love the 16-bit stylized hand-drawn animation, as well as its wonderful soundtrack, but like many others, it constantly crashes to the system UI. I'm playing this on a PS5, but I've seen many complaints on Steam, Xbox, and Switch platforms as well. This is really too bad because it can take you out of the experience. One of my crashes happened towards the end of a long boss fight. That made me want to delete the game and move onto something else.
With the game being several years old, as of this posting, I'm doubtful we will ever see a proper patch by D-Pad Studio, which is really unfortunate. I've now purchased Owlboy three times, physically, on Switch and PS4, and digitally on PS4. We support them, and I wish they would support us back with a fix for this. Anyway.. I will push on.
