Padge Plays! Indie Edition - Pony Island (2016 - Daniel Mullins Games) - Pony Island Gameplay Part 4
Welcome to Padge Plays! Indie Edition
In this episode we're quite literally playing with the Devil in Pony Island by Daniel Mullins Games! Here's the score; we're supposedly stuck in limbo staring at an aged arcade cabinet with a very basic runner game by the name of Pony Island staring back at us. It's premise is simple initially: jump the fences to score experience and level up your little white pony for reasons unknown, (like most endless runner games in my experience!) but there's a catch: This is the Devil's game and he is NOT HAPPY that you appear to be doing so well so he's going to change the rules to suit him and it's your job to find out how to stop him and hopefully free your very soul in the process! Oh, and win tickets...
In part 4 we have just taken down the second of three core files needed to be deleted in order to escape the Devil's very terribly made game, but at the end of the last episode it seems we had managed to escape the machine for a least a minute before being brought back in to a now dilapidated arcade cabinet. Even so, the big red man has been busy and we now have a SUPER HAPPY FUN version of Pony Island to play with and we now get a mascot by the name of Louie!
He's SUPER HAPPY and SUPER FUN so what could possibly go wrong?!
Can we defeat the Devil quite literally at his own game and if so, what lies after?
Let's find out!
-- ABOUT THE GAME --
Pony Island is a suspense puzzle game in disguise. You are in limbo, trapped in a malevolent and malfunctioning arcade machine devised by the devil himself. The devil detests having his puzzles solved and poor programming exposed; you will need to think outside the box to proceed and you will be insulted when you do.
In Pony Island you will...
- Peer behind the rotting curtain of "Pony Island" to repair its broken code
- Be forced to play along with The Devil's demented game of ponies
- Explore the depths of the cryptic software system that runs His game

In this series I will be playing some well known and less well known games all the way from yesteryear through to the present, sometimes from consoles and sometimes from the thousands of PC games available either through websites such as Steam, Good Old Games (GOG), as abandonware, (Home of the Underdogs) or through emulation software. (Such as WinVice C64)
