Paper Beach Home Schooling Events Week 3: Create Your Own Imaginary World with Jenny McLachlan
5Join us for Week Three of a six week home-schooling series in support of an exciting community art initiative; the Paper Beach Project, brought to you by Egmont Books in collaboration with East Cliff Creatives. Over the next 6 weeks at 2PM every Tuesday you'll hear from a selection of Egmont's fabulous authors & illustrators reading from their own fiction, picture book and non fiction titles. They will then lead children in a school exercise based on writing, drawing, imagination and creativity – each supported with resources for grown ups to help scale the tasks to the age and stage of any primary school child. By the end of the series, children should have all the tools to be able to write and illustrate their very own story. Each episode is presented by Gareth P. Jones who will also give you all the information you need about the ambitious Paper Beach Project and how you can get involved at home.
This week, we're joined by Jenny McLachlan, the author of The Land of Roar series, as we start to create our imaginary world and make a map.
