Major spoiler territory for Paper Mario. You have been warned.

Yep, I beat final Bowser with Goombario as my sole ally.

I decided to get back to Paper Mario because I got better details of what exactly makes Pit's arrow spam over-the-top thanks to a friend who I can beat I believe on a 70% consistency outside him using Pit, and turns out to be better than the amateur who beat me with the arrow abuse the first time, and I tested whether or not Meta Knight is broken--whether or not he is in standalone, though, the test results are inconclusive right now. But anyway, all things considered, I'm playing other games on a desire of my own, not to prove that the San Francisco Bay Area doesn't deserve to be called the "Yay Area", or that shallow girls would say wanna suck my pee just to mock me. (Of course, said desire would prove both in a heartbeat. But given what it is, I'd rather be careful who I tell what it is. I recently told the friend in question.)

About the battle, surprisingly, I forgot I had Multibounce available, not that it makes much difference, because I kept messing up Goombario's Multibonk and not getting past the second bonk. (Ugh, and I just realized it was supposed to be Power Bounce that has potentially infinite jumping.) I actually saw videos of final Bowser before, but I have actually beaten Huff 'n' Puff and Crystal King at least on my first try without any major prior hints. (Huff 'n' Puff, I survived long enough to figure out a way to exploit his fatal flaw. Crystal King, I was actually lucky I had a Life Shroom on hand, but I wouldn't have used it had I not messed up the Multibonks.) I was actually trying to not lose the charges to Bowser's attack that hits both Mario and the partner. That attack is vile, you never know when Bowser will use it so you can't expect to time Chill Out to stop it from damaging partners. And I used Chill Out to reduce Bowser's attack power because it's high in general. Of course, Bowser granting himself invincibility, as I learned, gets rid of the attack reduction. Speaking of, I have to spend Mario's turn right afterwards to remove it, and since Goombario does only 2 damage without any charges, that's one less turn damaging the Koopa king effectively.

Item usage....I used both Deluxe Feasts I had on hand, and the Ultra Shroom as well. The Ultra Shroom usage turned out to be unnecessary, because I had 5 Life Shrooms on hand and I would have lived off of 3-4 long enough to wipe out Bowser's remaining HP.

By the way, I tried to make a remark about the Koopatrols being Demonic Spiders. They're that because their defense is high, they can't be jump attacked (not by partners like Goombario or Parakarry, and they can be plain bad against an unprepared Mario when an enemy like Dry Bones gets in the way of the Hammer of justice), their charged up attack power is insane, and they can call each other for reinforcements. And yet despite being the elite soldiers of Bowser's army, they provide less experience than the Hammer Bros., who aren't even as tough to take out. Though ironically at levels 25 and 26 (I believe) this is a weakness because you can Bump Attack them.
