Parasite Eve - More Stocking, Museum Return, and What The Hell Happened Here
0Picking up at "Sam's Gun shop", in the historic part of New York called (1)Soho, we catch Aya and the gang stocking up on more equipment for their Night-mare come true adventure. Once they are done stocking up on supplies they head out. At the behest of the Science minded Maeda they make their way to the Museum of American Natural History. While there, they find out something truly fascinating concerning the mitochondria of Eve and Aya, this being that Eve's is draining more energy than normal, while Aya's is giving more energy than normal to the nuclei. Trying to make sense of this, Maeda tries to explain that her mitochondria are protecting themselves from Eve's mitochondria and in turn references (2)Richard Dawkins book "The Selfish Gene".
Shortly after coming to the lab, Dr. Klamp returns and questions the group as to their actions. When confronted the group acts as if they were doing nothing at all, but as soon as Klamp looks into the microscope and the exclaims as to where they got the specimens. Maeda of course answers that he doesn't know, but Klamp already suspects that it must be officer Brea's. A little bit into the conversation about Aya's mitochondria Daniel notices that his son and dead wife's are on some sort of list on the doctor's computer. In his off-the-wall fashion Daniel flares his temper and picks him up by the neck of the shirt. In true protagonistic pattern Aya soothes Daniel and he ends up throwing Klamp back a little and soon there after tells them to forsake the premises. To save some face Aya tells the good doctor that they do have to officially warn him of the evacuation before leaving. As the scene close Klamp makes a remark about it being too late to do anything now. What could he possibly mean by this?
After leaving the museum the troupe heads back to the station. While in the squad car, a conversation ensues as to the nature of the list. Maeda explains that it was an (3)HLA list to see whether or not organs that are transplanted will be rejected.
Not long after the conversation ends the alliance finds, upon arrival, that the police station is littered with debris and and wonders what could have possibly occurred while they were away.
