In this talk Parity’s Kian Paimani will provide a high-level recap of Polkadot’s unique Nominated Proof of Stake (NPoS) system, including its past shortcomings, how they were fixed, and where it has led us so far. He will also discuss exciting new approaches to NPoS, and how it is setting the new standard of what is possible to achieve regarding on-chain validator selection in a permissionless setting.

Presenting the future of X-VM (Cross Virtual Machine) on Plasm Network
Hoon Kim, Product Manager, Plasm Network

Plasm Network is a multi virtual machine (EVM and WASM) smart contract platform on Polkadot that has integrated Ethereum developer tools such as Metamask, Remix, Truffle, and Hardhat, as well as Parity's Frontier. Hoon Kim, product manager at Plasm Network, will explain how an application on their EVM interacts with WASM, and vice versa.
