Kinda funny that they put a puzzle in a shoot em' up game, you have to watch out and think which way to go, so you don't go into a tunnel that is full of skeletons, which take a shitload of bullets to destroy. And we finally get to the final boss, which does nothing at all thanks to Takotsuke being an octopus, I believe.

FUN FACT: Every final boss in the long-running Gradius series do nothing at all and explode after a minute or so.
