While editing this video I realized I spent possibly too much time describing how each letter was pronounced, but since I don't think there's really an alternative on Youtube I decided to leave it as-is. All the consonants that weren't covered in detail should be pronounced the same as in English / their IPA equivalent, so I focused mainly on the exceptions.
Next video will go over more interesting stuff!
The video has some possible minor issues:
- "dormor" is the future infinitive for "to sleep", which means it more accurately translates to something like "to be going to sleep," which was just too long to figure out how to fit into the screen. Infinitives will be explained in the verbs video anyway, and I wanted an -or example. Use "dormar" if you want the actual word for "to sleep."
- I may have stressed "manui" incorrectly and emphasized the last syllable instead of the second-to-last one. The visuals were correct so I didn't bother re-recording.
- Not technically an error, but worth mentioning that the tonic stress was exaggerated specifically as a teaching point. You don't have to pronounce words exactly like this lol
