Party Hard 2 Alpha Demo Gameplay - Lets Kill Some Corporate Douche Bags
Party Hard 2 Alpha Demo
After the events of the Party Hard Massacre, the original protagonist went dark. Now 10 years after the original killing spree a new mad man is here to take his place in Party Hard 2.
If you keep up with our articles or videos then you probably know I'm a huge Party Hard fan. I've done a full review on our site, and have uploaded 5 video's so far on our YouTube channel. Sadly after about 50 takes I still have yet to beat the final board with the pesky Feds.
The original may have came out in 2015, but I didn't play it for the first time until around the end of 2016. I played almost every level before I started my video series, and was happy to replay them again. I'd go as far to say its my most played game of the year so far.
I'm not sure if I'm late to the show as usual with the Party Hard 2 announcement. I came across the press release this afternoon, and my eyes lit up with joy. Unless Borderlands 3 pops up this year I don't think any other sequel, prequel, our trequel could make me so happy.
The above is what I wrote earlier for the article I published on our website. So lets go over what I think of Party Hard 2 from the alpha demo so far.
First off, the game has a brighter more crisp look. I'm still not sure if I like it better yet. I think I might favorite the older style. It has more of an indie game feel.
The button scheme has changed a lot. Nearly every original button function was assigned to a different button. This threw me way off. And there seems to be a new additional function I'm not sure if I like yet.
Next lets get to the music. The song from the original is epic, and will be forever stuck in my head. The new music isn't bad, and is fitting, but I hoped they would stick with the original.
Something else that through me off is the increase in movement speed. It would seem that the protagonist and the A.I. have picked up the pace a bit. I liked the speed in the original much better.
As I feared after I watched the alpha demo trailer, the developers have tried to improve everything. I loved the original just the way it was. The saying is, "Don't fix it if it ain't broke".
When I found the Party Hard 2 announcement I was really happy. Now that I played the alpha demo I kind of disappointed. I'm not to happy about any of the attempted improvements. I know the dev's are still in the alpha/ beta faze, but I'm even more fearful of a butcher job now. After I got busted pretty much on purpose I didn't even want to go on.
If my video or article finds its way to the developers, I highly recommend you tone down the changes. The original Party Hard is such an amazing game. It has the chance to spawn a long lasting epic series if the sequel is good. This advice is coming from a serious hardcore fan. I'm still routing for the sequel.
