Direction Answer the questions on the basis of your understanding of the following passage and related studied concepts:
Collision between two billiard balls or between two automobiles on a road are a few examples of collision from everyday life. Even gas atoms and molecules at room temperature keep on colliding against each other. In some collisions, momentum of the system is conserved but the kinetic energy is not conserved while in some collisions, both momentum and kinetic energy of the system are conserved. When two billiard balls collide to each other elastically, then their velocity of separation is equal to velocity of approach. Similarly, in inelastic collision of two bodies, velocity of approach is less than the velocity of separation. In perfectly inelastic collision of two bodies, velocity of separation becomes zero.
