I understand what Pat's talking about. Being unable to use gold to buy permanent upgrades and only being able to use them to make your current run easier can be annoying. However, the game encourages you to use the gold in shops to purchase stat upgrades or better weapons in order to collect more Cells from enemies which can buy permanent upgrades. His dislike for and resistance to use this mechanic hurts him in each run as the game intends for you to buy things. Just a personal view, though.
Also, I could make another video on something else entirely just with the stuff I recorded.
