Here's a build. Consistent Damage, High Hp, High Shield with Immortality every 1000 shield. If this can't help you survive the rough Dauntless life, then you need more practice XD.

Equipment are easy to farm, lots of them are on level 4 - 14 Hunting Grounds. If you don't have Overcharged Cylinder unlocked yet, you can switch lo Lightweight Haft or Volatile Axecore, but if you wanna main axe, then Overcharged Cylinder is your best friend. If you wanna get yourself the feel of using an axe, try using Lightweight Haft ( I learned using axe with it ).

Make sure to take your time observing the behemoth movements, don't be reckless, and make sure your hits connects. with this build, you can the average of 1.6k shield. That's 32% critical rate, and that is good enough. Not bringing Cunning is still fine. If I were to change the build, then it wouldn't even be a beginner's build anymore.

Learn behemoth movements to evade properly. Behemoths always have certain kind of hint before they execute their attack. Once you're used to it, everything will be fun.
