The next league "Ultimatum" has started so just like the previous leagues I want to put out my thoughts and opinions of the mechanics as well as some of the new additions/balance changes.

The mechanic this time around is very similar to the previous league "Ritual" where you fight enemies in an area in order to get rewards but this time around the Trialmaster will make the arena have some sort of debuff or extra attacks with you in the arena. The goal is to just survive long enough to win the rewards but you can add multiple layers of difficulty to the arena for each new reward but be warned that if your character dies during any of these fights you lose everything you have gained up to that point.

As for balance changes. They have focused on making the Vaal skills better and added life using skill gems (rather than mana). Other than that though they have quite heavily nerfed almost all the main meta skills for endgame and made a change that pretty much break head hunter self temporal chains builds so hence the title of this "review".
