PC Building Simulator (09.10.2021) Try First time (Free build) AMD Ryzen 9 with 16 cores
Kind of fun fiddling around with this PC Building Simulator. Have IRL only had Intel CPU's, and would like to investigate some Motherboards with AMD sockets. Is it just me, or does it seem illogic that socket AM4 are able to fit with an AMD Ryzen 9 (with the numbers)? Or maybe they just have good backward compatibility since AMD Ryzen 4? Maybe writing some nonsense since I'm a total newbie to AMD. But maybe could comment on why the socket has the name AM4, and enlighten me.
DDR5 RAM could btw also be fun to buy and install. Read somewhere they should be on sale 2021 in Q3. So they should be around now. But could be wrong. Beside lots of speed and GB's, they are born from factory with ECC (Error Correction Code). And you get a more stable computer, not making errors in the calculation when the sun or background radiation, are doing some weird stuff inside the normal (non-ECC) RAM sticks. Or more technical, making a bit-flip (a zero turns to a one, or a one turns to zero). Typically, ECC memory maintains a memory system immune to single-bit errors (a bit flip). So it's basically a error detection and correction system added to the RAM, in case of a bit flip.
The sun generate gamma-rays during solar-flares, that makes bit-flips in non-ECC RAM. The sun has a about 7-year cycle of solar flare. So in theory, your computer could be at risk at making errors every 7th year, if you doesn't have ECC RAM, or the newer DDR5 with build-in EEC.
The solar flare period can vary. In 1984 there was measured a 154 days period (about 5 months of possible errors and shutdown in computer with non-ECC RAM's. So that's a long time of having an unstable computer. So good thing, that ECC will be default in new generation of RAM.
My Simulated computer with AMD Ryzen 9 Sixteen core 5950X CPU ect. cost btw 5015 $, and had benchmark of 16017. Not sure how much benchmark number is. But somebody could also enlighten me on that matter.
The Simulator had a few things I like to be changed in future upgrades. Could be nice, if just change a mouse or keyboard cable, from one USB port to another, were just drag and drop, instead of unmount, then click cables menu, and then install to new USB port. So things like that could make the Simulator more intuitive to use. But overall this program are a really good idea, to explore a future dream computer build. Or a realistic computer build, suited for your wallet ;-)

00:49:38 Here I just wanted to change the USB-ports for mouse and keyboard. But where struggling quite a bit, in order to make it work. Didn't seem intuitive for me. But got it.
01:03:10 3DMark (benchmark tool) run
01:04:43 Finished 3DMark test: 16.460 in Graphics score (108 FPS), and 13.900 in CPU score (46 FPS) = Total score 16.017 in Time Spy v.1.1 test. Could add maybe extra graphics cooler, to see if any difference. And CPU's FPS seem kind of low. Could also be improved with another air cooler, or water-cooler.
01:09:25 Installing "Will it run" tool, so I can see how well my computers specs were compared to running different games in 4K or if not 4K, in max resolution.
