Metroidvania-y game by Wayforward!!

Follow [former half-genie] Shantae as she teams up with Risky Boots
(GASP!) to prevent the Pirate Master from resurrecting. Shenanigans ensue.

The usual Metroidvania-y things: find things, do this, get a thing, go back to do this thing. Game uses a more stage-based exploration.

Unlike the other longplays I did of this, this one instead opts for 100% Pirate Mode (aka "NG+" aka Speedrun mode?), where you start off with all of the Pirate Tools. It speeds up the game quite a bit, reducing overall backtracking and dungeon exploring. No, there's no cutscene skipping. Otherwise, this video would be shorter. I also opted to not do the hidden segment in the first Den and the secret gauntlet. I also abuse the hell out of a trick called "Risky Shuffle". In a nutshell: using left and right with 2 directional inputs (pad and analog stick) to trick the game that you are STILL moving (requirement to use Scimitar), allowing you to Scimitar in normally un-Scimitarable locations. I don't demonstrate the food float glitch, but I do demonstrate the Pirate trial skip. Of course, this being a longplay, I jump down after executing them to continue as normal. -
