PCem v11 - Quake - Install - Running Software and OpenGL - Running with CD Audio - and Shortplay
For those of you that were younger maybe you don't know the great advance on games that suppose the use of accelerated graphics cards back in the day. In this PCem example we will using Quake as reference. First we run it on software mode and you will see the graphics rendered by the normal graphics cards that we all had back in his day. Later when the accelerated card appeared the graphics change dramatically, you can see all in much cleaner, use more resolution and play with fps maxxed out. This was the start for the gaming era that suppose 90's on PC Gaming, era that continue nowadays.
Later we will see that the games can have music using the music CD if you have them loaded on your virtual drive before you run the emulator (in the first part you see that i loaded after running the emulator so no music is ON)
Lastly a bit of gameplay of GLQuake (quake using 3dfx acceleration)
PD: Emulation always is better on Pentium I MMX 166 MHZ , 233 is too much for the most part of computer nowadays so you can experience music cuts or desync because the emulation is not 100% all the time as you see on the top of the window
