pComprehension XIV/ppGaseous substances \( (\mathrm{CHO})_{p} \) and \( (\mathrm{COOH})_{q} \), when heated, decompose according to the following reactions./pp\[/pp\begin{array}{l}/pp(\mathrm{CHO})_{\mathrm{p}} \rightarrow \mathrm{CO}+\mathrm{H}_{2} \\/pp(\mathrm{COOH})_{\mathrm{q}} \rightarrow \mathrm{CO}_{2}+\mathrm{H}_{2}/pp\end{array}/pp\]/ppA volume of \( 10 \mathrm{ml} \) of mixture containing \( (\mathrm{CHO})_{p} \) and \( (\mathrm{COOH})_{\mathrm{q}} \) in 1:4 mole ratio was heated for complete decomposition. The resulting gases when passed through \( \mathrm{KOH} \), the volume decrease to \( 9 / 17^{\text {th }} \) of the volume of gaseous mixture passed. Remaining gases on complete combustion showed a contraction of \( 61 \mathrm{ml} \)./ppThe increase in volume on decomposition of original mixture was/pp(a) \( 20 \mathrm{ml} \)/pp(b) \( 46 \mathrm{ml} \)/pp(c) \( 92 \mathrm{ml} \)/pp(d) \( 61 \mathrm{ml} \)/p
