in this video I play the original penumbra test demo from 2006 this is quite rare to get this was a test demo that the game company Frictional Games first ever made it was a test demo I believe because they made a new engine their own game engine called HPL engine it was their own engine that they made and I believe they were making this demo for a short test so people can trying out how the game would play we don't know for sure when the actual release date came out for this demo but it's believed from the wiki fandom that it came out in June 4 of 2006 the first ever release date of this test demo this was very rare to get and I'm so glad that Midnight Researcher did a video and had a link to download the game so thank you very much Midnight Researcher I will link their YouTube channel and the video of this penumbra test demo cuz without them leaving a link to the download and making a walk through this video probably would never happen this game is very rare because even in 2006 standards this was pretty rare to get just because frictional games was not known at all at this time it is safe to say that they were practically a very small indie game Studio at this time this is practically one of those short indie horror games that we see today on game jolt and itch.io like the earliest version of that from like 2006 anyways I overall pretty much enjoyed it the puzzles were a little tricky but for the most part the only thing that I really had trouble with was remembering the passcodes to open the doors but for the most part this was not bad I generally enjoyed it it was really interesting to see what the earliest creation of frictional games's designs were to see the evolution of their games and starting from their very beginning it was fun it was interesting it was short it was just fun I can't really say very much because they're really not really much happened but it was fun nevertheless so anyways I hope you guys enjoyed today's video thank you everyone so much for watching I hope you all have a nice and awesome day and goodbye :-)
