Part 1 of this playthrough has been copyright claimed by ATLUS due to the intro video. Which, in my opinion, is totally fair. Just note you might see a bunch of ads if they put them there. I could trim out the intro video, but if I'm being honest, it's one of the coolest things about Persona 4 Golden and I feel like I'd do this game a disservice if I didn't show it. What is Persona 4 Golden?
Persona 4 is a turn-based modern-day Japanese role-playing game originally released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2008. It features the series staple, "Personas", which are the embodiment of the main character's personality traits. The personas determine what abilities you can use in battles.
'Golden' in the title means that this is the expanded version of the title that was later released on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV four years later in 2012. It features a new playable character, more story, dialogue, Japanese and English dual-audio tracks and of course, more personas.
Is this your first time playing?
I've dabbled in Persona 4 in the past, but I've never really experienced too much of it. I believe I've only really played about 4-5 hours of the game, maybe longer back when I livestreamed a bunch on Twitch. So for 99% of the game, this will be a blind run. I'd really appreciate no story spoilers.
Can we provide information on how to play?
Absolutely! As long as you don't include story spoilers, tips on how to build up personas and what gear to focus on would be greatly appreciated. I am entirely unfamiliar with the mechanics in Persona 4 Golden, with my only information to go on being Persona 5 Royal.
