Petro's Hall of Music 66: The Tower of Dawn - Prince of Persia Sands of Time
The Prince of Persia series is a great example of gaming evolution: the first POP was a fun but completly hard 2d platformer, the controls were a little sluggish and have in his colour pallete like.. 3 or 4 colours, after that, Prince of Persia: Shadow and Flame came for PC,Snes,Genesis and a lot more featuring cool graphics (maintaining the 2D enviroment of course) great animations and lively colours (i can't say more about this game because i haven't play it enough to give more "useful" information XD)
For a couple of years we thought that it was the end of Prince of Persia until POP 3D came to sales..it keeps the platforms but this time in a 3d enviroment, with dull controls and a dumb combat mode (bah, that's what i think..maybe someone doesn't think that)
The series went silent...and in 2003 a new POP named Prince of Persia Sands of Time. This time, the ecense of the 2D POP's was converted to 3D almost perfectly and improving it much much more: high jumps, wall running, an acrobatic combat mode, time rewinding, acceleration and other power with the use of the sands of time. Also features a fantastic story which only needs only 2 characters to make the story epic..
From here, the series enter in the trilogy of "The sands of time" with this game, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones, impoving the gameplay and advancing little by little with the story and maybe they are starting a new one.. now that POP 4 was released (i haven't played much but the cel-shaded graphics and the gameplay is awesome)
In short.. Prince of Persia is a series based on evolution and innovation, always bringing something new to us, this is a series that never get's old.
Enjoy the music n.n
