626Full run of Phalanx on the hardest difficulty (Funny Mode), my final score was 7,054,980 points. This was captured off a real SNES console playing the real cartridge, no emulation.
Warning: this playthrough has HEAVY point milking (around 40 minutes against the stage 7 boss) so I advise you to skip that part.

This game is pretty generous with extends, and you will probably need them as deaths are plentiful on this difficulty. You can get around 30 lives (it's capped at 30 if you never die) if you point farm, which I did extensively in this playthrough.
Just to note, the stage 7 point farming wasn't really a factor in my clearing the game or not as I'd still have 3~4 lives left even without the farming.
