Sean completes his destiny by collecting the fabled legendary weapons and traveling to the evil city of Lashute. There, he and his friends battle Dark Force, saving the Alisa III and the Neo Palm from any further destruction.
Overall, while I did enjoy the characters and small stories, the overall game felt very tedious, full of endless back-tracking, recycled tilesets, and incredibly simplistic battles. It's honestly quite shocking to me how much this game felt like a step backwards from Phantasy Star II. It feels like missed potential, since it had some really good ideas and things that could've been done. There could have been more meaningful choices, for example, or deeper focus on how the heirs are different from one-another, based on the choices their parents' made before them.
