The land of GameIndustri is home to anime girls who represent the video game consoles who are also fighting in a battle called the Console War. There are tons of references to other games in the dialogue and the majority of the dialogue is facepalm-worthy, though still quite funny. The gameplay itself, once you get through the long opening sequence, is pretty enjoyable, with places to explore and monsters to fight. Dialogue goes through a visual novel style and even cuts to large images of nearly-naked girls, which is pretty much what you would expect from a visual novel as well. This game is NOT a visual novel. As you play through the game, it becomes an epic turn-based JRPG with lots of cosmetic options and a light crafting system where you can adjust the gameplay a bit, making it easier or harder, adding new item drops, new dungeons, and stronger enemies. Worth every penny, and I've just scratched the surface of the game.
