In this part, Phoenix talks to Detective Gumshoe. The detective has lost a newspaper article. Phoenix gives the article to the detective, and in return, Detective Gumshoe gives Phoenix an article about Nurse Mimi Miney (the one who was summoned at the channeling).

Detective Gumshoe has some bad news: Manfred von Karma's successor is going to be the prosecutor for the trial. Uh oh...

Phoenix then tries out his charged Magatama by breaking the psyche lock that Ini Miney has. Basically, this means that he exposes her lie about not knowing the victim. She then confesses she DID know the victim, because he was her sister's boss.
