Bei Pikmin handelt es sich um ein Echtzeitstrategiespiel. Als Raumfahrer namens Captain Olimar kommt es zu einer Bruchlandung auf einem Planeten (der Erde) - dabei verliert ihr 30 Teile eures Raumschiffes, welche ihr innerhalb von 30 Tagen einsammeln müsst. Zwar mag der Planet giftig und die Resorcen knapp sein - jedoch bekommt ihr Hilft von den Pikmin.
