Pikmin² (also referred to as Pikmin Squared) is a mod for Pikmin 2. This mod takes the original Pikmin game and puts it in Pikmin 2's engine, allowing for more polished gameplay. The initial release was projected to be released sometime in 2022, but was pushed back because of developing time issues. The mod was finally released in December 28, 2024.
In addition to containing "Olimar's Story," it also includes two new side modes: "Louie's Quest," and a built-in "Randomizer." In addition Challenge Mode has also been updated to include the new levels introduced in "Louie's Quest."
